I thought I would share just a little bit of the the story that brought this beautiful creation into the world. Monday evening we went over to some friends to hear a pastor's story. The pastor brought another pastor with him from India. At the end of the evening the pastor prayed for us and our little blessing. I told Mark at the end of the evening that if anytime after that prayer our little girl would come. We got home about 10:30 and then I heard a pop about 12. Thirty minutes later my water broke. We headed toward the hospital, with only almost missing our turn to the hospital. I asked the doctor if I was having contractions. They said I was having them every 3 to 4 minutes apart. They felt like mild celiac cramps. I guess I have been having contractions for quite some time, I just didn't know it. We made it till about 10 o'clock and I had dilated 4 centimeters. The pain had gotten pretty bad and we decided to do an epidural. I dilated the rest of the 10 centimeters in an hour. It took 2 and a half hours for her to come. It was painful, but a wonderful blessing to have our little girl. We are so happy to have her, and it was the most amazing blessing to have her in my arms.

10 Days to go
Well, I made it. Can you tell? I am finally making a post. It has been a wonderful school year, but tough because I have not always felt great. I am excited to be done because that means our little girl is on the way, but I already miss my kids at school. So the only thing that still needs to be done before this little girl arrives it get my house clean. So we are waiting and cleaning. 10 days to go, is an amazing thought. Here are some pictures of the last few months, for all those who have waited so patiently. We will post pictures as soon as we can after her arrival.

Little Heartbeat
Today we had our doctor's appointment. We were able to hear our beautiful little girl's heartbeat. We asked the doctor tons of questions and he may have been ready to call security to escort us out. We really like our doctor and he answered all our questions. We have another appointment in a few weeks. I have to do the glucose test and get some extra blood work. They have also scheduled another ultra sound. Having Celiac is not a wonderful thing, but it sure has been nice to have all these extra ultrasounds. It is wonderful to get to see our little girl. We are thankful to the Lord, for taking care of her and protecting her.

Pregnancy Blues
I figured while I was sitting here doing nothing, I could post on my blog. I have cleaned the whole house and there is still so much to do. I am nearing the end of my second trimester and I am still so tired. I have had the whole week of school off and and accomplished many tasks, but I feel like have not done anything. I think it could be because things seem very overwhelming. I have been thankful for the time off (we have had alot of snow), because I have been fighting a cold. But today I realized I don't have a cold, this crazy congestion that I have had for several weeks has to be a pregnancy symptom. So I grabbed my What to Expect book, and it looks like I am going to be congested for about 4 more months. So I am congested, tired, have back and side pain, and I can't sleep. I hear it gets worst, but I am still very excited about the little girl that God is forming in my whom. Mark is finally about to leave on his trip. He may leave today or early next week. He packed everything this morning and loaded it in the car expecting to go. Then he fixed the sink, tore down the bed in the office, so I could work on organizing things in their for the nursery, and then cleaned our bathroom. I figured that was his way of nesting because he was going to be gone for so long. Even though I haven't felt fantastic over the last few weeks, I have been able to feel her kicking and pushing away. It has been so strong at points that Mark has been able to feel her too. I have a doctor's appointment on Monday and I am excited to hear her heartbeat. So to sum things up, if you made it through all my complaining, God is good, and we are so excited about our little girl!

Well, I thought I better update because I have people wanting to bang down the doors for an update. We went to the doctor and were able to see our little baby. Mark was able to feel HER for the first time tonight. Life is finally calming down a little bit. Report cards are done and I am looking forward to a relaxing weekend. There is a lot going on in the world and there are a lot of hurting people in the world right now. I have several friends who are going through a lot. My mind and prayers have spent a lot of time in thought for them.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

WOW!!! It has been a very busy break. So busy, I hope I feel relaxed Monday morning. I have really enjoyed my break though. But I feel that there is way to much to be done. We had a doctors appointment right before Christmas break and we were able to hear the babies heartbeat and Mark got to see the baby movie for the first time. Yesterday the baby celebrated his half birthday with Grandpa Gooch and cousin Ashley. I felt some pushing on my tummy this morning in two different spots this morning at two different times. I am not sure, but I think the baby was saying "Good morning, mommy." The baby received so many wonderful Christmas gifts from family and friends. Thank you so much for all the friends and family that have already blessed us. Mark has been working hard to help me begin to prepare the house for our transition. We changed around the family room and took out two big bookshelves out of the babies room. He is almost done the huge tiling project in the kitchen. We would both like for the grouting, sealing, and painting to be done in the kitchen before Mark leaves on his next project. (By the way hun, the kitchen looks beautiful, and I don't want you to leave, but I understand why you are leaving, and I am so PROUD of you! Thank you for all your effort to glorify God in everything that you do! You are a fantastic Pilot!) On Wednesday we find out what the baby is. After we know I think I want to paint the babies room like a meadow. If it is a girl I want to accent the room with sparrows and for a boys room use lambs. We will let everyone know the outcome of Wednesday. I hope that everyone had a fantastic Christmas, remembering why we truly celebrate Christmas. Have a fantastic 2010!
